As the summer vacation begins, children eagerly look forward to a break from their regular school routines. However, for many underprivileged children, vacations also mean a gap in their daily meals, especially those who rely on government schools for their midday nutrition. Recognizing this challenge, **Al Ansaar Trust** launched its **annual summer camp** this year with an added initiative—**providing nutritious meals** to ensure no child learns on an empty stomach.

## **Engaging Young Minds Through Activities**
The summer camp, designed for holistic development, includes a variety of activities such as:
- **Games and physical exercises** to keep children active
- **Karate classes** for discipline and self-defense
- **Communication skills workshops** to boost confidence
- **Kannada and English lessons** to strengthen language proficiency
Children attend the camp from **10 AM to 1 PM**, engaging in fun and educational sessions. However, the team at Al Ansaar soon noticed a concerning trend—**more than 50% of the children were arriving without having breakfast**.
## **The Hidden Hunger Crisis**
Many of these children come from families where parents, especially mothers, leave early for work, making it difficult to prepare breakfast before school. Since government schools typically provide midday meals, some children have grown accustomed to skipping breakfast at home. During vacations, when schools are closed, this gap in nutrition becomes even more pronounced.

## **Al Ansaar’s Solution: Feeding Futures**
Understanding the importance of nutrition in a child’s growth and learning, Al Ansaar Trust took a proactive step—**providing wholesome meals** at the summer camp. Now, after a morning filled with activities, children enjoy a **nutritious lunch** before heading home. This ensures they leave not just with new skills but also with full stomachs.
## **Impact So Far**
- **Over 100 children** benefit daily from this initiative.
- Improved energy levels and participation in activities.
- Parents express relief knowing their children are well-fed even during vacations.
## **A Small Step Toward a Healthier Future**
Al Ansaar Trust’s summer camp is more than just a place for fun and learning—it’s a **safe space where children receive both education and nourishment**. By addressing the issue of hunger, the Trust is helping build a stronger, healthier, and more confident generation.
This initiative highlights how small acts of kindness can create a **big impact**. As the camp continues, Al Ansaar remains committed to nurturing young minds—**one meal, one lesson, and one smile at a time**.
Join us in supporting this cause—because no child should learn hungry.
